Emergency Response Course for Parents & Carers

A three hour course in Basic Life Support.

This practical training equips parents and carers to cope with accidents and even life-threatening emergencies and provides them with useful skills for the future. The first aid skills will help to build confidence in dealing with emergency situations for babies and children from birth to puberty.

Please note this is a certificate of attendance and does not qualify participants as first aiders.

Course content

  • Assessment of the situation

  • Resuscitation

  • Choking

  • Head injuries

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Fractures

  • Foreign bodies and eye injuries

  • Control of bleeding and shock

  • Burns

The fee is £30 per person. This fee includes: tuition, course resources, registration fees, certification and a Paediatric First aid manual for each delegate.
